STOWA launches its first mechanical watch in cooperation with the WRC: the Flieger Verus Black Forest WRC – precision at maximum speed

The design

The 40-millimeter stainless steel case, sandblasted and coated with black PVD, is exceptionally slim at a height of just 11.25 millimeters, yet water-resistant to 10 ATM. With a lug width of 20 millimeters and 48.9 millimeters from lug to lug, the watch offers a sporty look and high wearing comfort. Scratch-resistant sapphire crystals reliably protect the dial and offer an interesting view of the respective movement.

The black dial echoes the visual language of motorsports: clear structures and striking accents. The STOWA and WRC logos stand confidently side by side. The pilot’s triangle and the hands in WRC orange create dynamic contrasts, while orange-glowing Superluminova ensures optimal orientation even in the dark – comparable to instruments in the cockpit during night stages. The date window with a black disc and orange numerals blends harmoniously into the overall picture.

With this model, the traditional German watch manufacturer is building a bridge between classic watchmaking and international top-class sport – where precision, reliability and performance under extreme conditions are what count.

The inner values

The movement

The movement

Inside, the proven Swiss automatic movement Sellita SW200 is at work, available in either a basic or top-version. Both automatic movements are adorned with a rotor bearing the WRC logo. As in motorsport, every detail counts here: finely regulated, durable and designed to deliver consistent performance even under demanding conditions.

This first mechanical WRC watch from STOWA is more than just a timepiece: it is a statement of precision under pressure, a passion for technology and the desire to get the most out of every situation. As in rallying, it is not only speed that counts, but also control, consistency and the perfect interaction of all components.

STOWA x WRC

The cooperation between STOWA and the WRC combines German watchmaking with international top-class sport. The WRC stands for dynamism, endurance and perfection in competition, while STOWA embodies these qualities in the form of precisely manufactured, durable timepieces. The cooperation creates authentic points of contact with customers who value precision, reliability and timeless design.

For STOWA, the partnership is a step onto the global stage: 14 rallies on gravel, asphalt, snow and ice await on several continents.
