The blood moon

The moon affects the earth in many ways and occasionally surprises us humans with spectacular phenomena such as the blood moon. A “blood moon” is the term for a full moon that appears reddish during a total lunar eclipse. This happens because the Earth blocks the moon from the sun and the sunlight that penetrates the Earth’s atmosphere is scattered onto the moon, with red and orange rays of light reaching the moon. The design
