24 H Racing Countdown
Based on the new Flieger watch TESTAF TO1 two more watches were created in titanium casing.
Firstly, the 24 H Racing Countdown watch that allows for the first time the display of elapsed time intervals as e.g. in a 24 h race.
For this purpose, the bezel has a "countdown" function which means that the daytimes 0.00 to 24.00 are shown counterclockwise.
Example 24 hour race:
Synchronizing the 24 hour hand with the start time of the event and the current local time , you can always read from this point on how much time is left until 24 hours have elapsed.
Conversion to GMT watch:
Of course the range of 24 h Racing Countdown watch is very limited ;-)
For this reason, Stowa has added the classic GMT complication.
This means that with an additional bezel (or you buy at once the classic GMT watch, which is also offered in the shop - please take a look here: http / / www.stowa ........) you can wear your 24 H Racing watch throughout the year as a perfect everyday watch.
(The change of bezel can easily be done by unloosening 4 small screws).
The GMT bezel is designed from 0.00 to 24.00 clockwise.
If you are for example abroad, you can set the current local time with the normal hands (hour, minute and second) and with the big 24 hour hand you can set your "home time" (this hand can be adjusted via the crown).
The 24-hour hand turns then once within 24 hours around the dial.
Thus, you can abroad - no matter in what time zone you reside - see your current home time (read the hours on the big hand and the exact minutes on the minute hand of the normal watch).
This handy feature is one of the most popular ever in the range of mechanical watches.
No matter whether you like the special 24 H Racing watch or the classic GMT .
Both watches shine due to the clarity of the design and due to the use of luminous material on hands and dial with absolutely the best readability.
The built-movement ETA A07.171 Valgranges is tall, has a great finish with Geneva stripes, blued screws and gold Stowa engraving.
The absolute precise latching bezel and the high water density of 200 meters emphasize the technical demands of this clock.
