Antea small second black

Since 2010, we have been building the Antea small second with a black dial. Many customers requested this clear and reduced design with a black dial. We could comply with this wish immediately, as the STOWA Museum possesses a few specimens with a black dial, including a small round gold watch from the 1930s and even a rectangular watch with a steel casing from the same period. The black version was printed in the exact same font and also includes a glass case back, which allows for viewing of the beautifully decorated hand-winding movement. The casing size of 35.50 mm and height of 6.90 mm results in an elegantly flat looking watch which is also popular with ladies.

History

Rooted in time, yet timeless.

In the 1930s, STOWA designed a number of watches based on the vocabulary of the Bauhaus movement (1919-1933). The hallmark design elements were a minimalist dial, Art Deco typography and simple casings with beveled edges. The radically simple designs remain relevant today and resonate in our Antea line.
